Michael Zirkle is a professional architectural project associate at BOE architects, pllc in Tacoma, WA. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Urban Design from the University of Washington-Tacoma, as well as an Associate of Applied Science-Technology Degree in Architectural Drafting and Design from Clover Park Technical College.

Michael is currently amid the journey toward becoming a licensed architect in Washington State.

His studies at the University of Washington-Tacoma concentrated on both policy and physical design interventions in the public realm to promote equitable communities, highlight local culture and character, as well as contribute more efficient and accessible public transit plans and designs.

His interdisciplinary educational and professional experience contribute to the unique approach he brings to architecture and the organization of the built environment. He strongly believes that architecture and urban design should be utilized in tandem to tell meaningful stories about community and place. Together, they function as a link between past, present, and future—acting as a tool to engage people with their communities.
